A park in CHESHIRE has been named one of the best perfect picnic spots in the UK.
Tatton Park has had the third highest number of Instagram hashtags in a new study published by online retailer Cazaar.co.uk.
The historic estate was capped for first place by Chatsworth House in the Peak District and runner-up Lyndhurt in the New Forest.
With 96,238 Instagram hashtags, Knutsford’s popular tourist attraction has attracted a record number of visitors choosing to relax in its sprawling grounds.

A Tatton Park spokesperson said: “We are delighted that people have shared so many perfect picnic spots for Tatton Park.
“With over 1,000 acres of scenic parkland, beautiful gardens and fascinating farmhouses to choose from, our visitors are hopefully spoiled for choice for unique picnic spots with stunning views.”

The estate has a neo-classical mansion, a deer park, a rare breed farm and an old medieval market hall.
Visitors can also pre-order boxed summer picnics at Stables Restaurant.

The chefs prepare a selection of dishes, including sweet and savory dishes using Tatton’s estate, farm and local produce.

Venison tatton and feta roll, homemade coleslaw and a slice of red velvet drizzled with white chocolate are some of the tasty dishes on offer.
Picnics are available from £13.95 and come with a choice of cold drinks, tea or coffee.
