Sun Country adds more direct flights to vacation spots this fall – WCCO

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Sun Country Airlines on Tuesday announced its return to non-stop flights to select vacation destinations and extended services for the fall.

The Minnesota-based low-cost airline has announced that it will once again offer flights to Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport in Mississippi and Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans, Louisiana. In addition, there will be a new direct service to Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina.

As part of its seasonal expansion, Sun Country is announcing that it will offer additional flights to select vacation destinations including Florida, Arizona, Mexico and more.

Sun Country Airlines Marketing Director Brian Davis says the expansion will make the travel experience even easier.

“This fall provides us with an opportunity to offer people even more flexible and convenient travel options as they begin to plan exciting weekend trips and vacations,” said Davis.

Additionally, Sun Country has announced plans to offer same-day round-trip travel between Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport and Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on November 21, 2021 for fans looking to experience the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings in Minneapolis. It will also offer round-trip travel Jan. 2-3, 2021 for those looking to cheer Minnesota at Green Bay.

The airline currently operates a total of 96 routes through 71 airports in the United States, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
