Punjab government to promote hidden tourist spots across province

Islamabad: The director general of the Punjab tourism department, Operation Asim Raza, said on Saturday that the tourism department is looking for all previously undiscovered areas to promote tourism in the province.

Speaking to the media, he said the Soan Valley will attract tourists in large numbers which was not the case before as the department has started boosting multiple activities at the site.

He said Soon Valley consists of 56 km long, three lakes Kabeekhi, Deep Sharif and Ochaali which are full of fascinating scenes.

Asim Raza said the department had built resorts for tourist stays, which were not previously in the valley, adding that there were no such security concerns when traveling in the region. .

He pointed out that people can also enjoy snowfall during the winter season as its height from sea level is around 5000 meters, school and college students frequently visit the valley.

The provincial government, he said, has also managed to keep up to 100 people at a time who can enjoy parachutes during summers on the lakes.

The operations manager said the provincial department purchased more land to improve several entertainment activities in the Soon Valley to attract people.

He asked the media to promote these places and show a sweet image of the country in front of the world.
