OAK CREEK, WI —Oak Creek has seen a lot this past year. From business openings and closings to a new performing arts center or an OCHS student being written by The Brewers, here are some of the most important and unique stories of 2021.

Longtime Trattoria di Carlo now closed in Oak Creek
Trattoria di Carlo, a long-standing pizzeria in Oak Creek and an Italian restaurant also known to the community as Di Carlo’s Pizza, last closed on Sunday, according to a letter posted on the restaurant’s website.

St. Francis Apartments develop as similar apartments planned for Oak Creek
42 Hundred On The Lake, an apartment construction underway in St. Francis, opens today, according to a press release. Since its first phase of opening in April, the development has already reached 67% occupancy, “a very fast rental speed,” Kathryn Kjarsgaard, the development representative, told Patch.
