You board a plane and you assume your luggage is flying with you, right? For even more Air Canada passengers at Toronto Pearson Airport, this is not the case.
TikTok user Kathy Go @kathygosjourney said traveling was “as bad as they say” in a recent video filmed at Pearson.
His family’s 8 a.m. flight was canceled, so they were transferred to an 8 p.m. flight. They were traveling with a baby, so the experience had been “far from fun” so far.
Next, Go showed what appears to be luggage left on the tarmac, long after the flight took off. “If you’re flying with Air Canada and you don’t have your bag,” Go said in the video.
“Because there is no plane but there are still two bags left.”
It’s as bad as they say. It’s today. July 9, 2022. Our 8am flight was cancelled. We were now on a 20 hour flight. We have a baby with us so it was far from fun. #aircanada #aircanadafail #cancellationsdevols #delaysdevol #fyp #viral #ifthatsourbagageyourefcked

Pearson Airport and Air Canada did not respond to Daily Hive’s requests for comment.
Lost baggage incidents have plagued the airline industry this summer as a resurgence in travel has been met with systemic staffing shortages.
Airlines have already proactively reduced flights in anticipation of what is turning out to be a chaotic travel season.
As for Go, she didn’t get her bags either. But she still ended her video with a smiling photo of her and her family enjoying their vacation.
